My Thoughts on True Blood: Epi 4

Once again, here are my random thoughts on Episode 4. I generally type as I watch, so I apologize in advance... It’s the only way I can re-cap. 

Opening up the episode, we have the hot Viking. I thought amnesia Eric was awesome, but drunk, amnesia Eric is EVEN BETTER!! Even if it is at the expense of Claudine. (Which totally shocked me, btw) But Eric wants to play. Oh, Eric. I will play hide and seek with you. Frankly, Eric had me at the ass pinching. 

Then we turn to Pam being questioned by Bill and I’m always amazed at Pam’s loyalty. It’s actually why I like her so much. Besides the fact that she gets the best one-liners. You go girl, you protect that hot ass Viking maker of yours!! Who knows what Bill will do with Eric. 

Oh for the love of God, we’re back in Hot Shots. I’m actually beginning to feel bad for Jason. I'm afraid that poor little wiener skin of his is chaffed!! Oh, come on. You know you were thinking it too! All I can think of, is protecting Jason’s penis. But wait!! Little, trailer-trash, panther girl frees Jason! Run, Jason, run!!

And then we see Ms. Frozenvagina lecture Bill about sending Eric to Wiccans. I kind of wondered that too, so we'll just have to see what is up with Bill and his true intentions. I had thought that maybe he was given orders to send Eric, but I can see he did that all on his own. 

Back to lalaland... Marlie gets visited in the middle of the night by another spirit. She is shown the spirit's final hours before her untimely death; burnt by fire, accused of being a witch. Then she will show her Christmas' of past and present. Oh, wrong ghost. My bad. 

Next we see that Sookie has employed the help of her good looking wolfie friend, Alcide and all I can think of is that Alcide took his shirt off. You can't hate on Alan Ball and his casting. Delicious!!

Maxine then visits Sam and explains that 5'2" Tommy is missing and that she is a Lioness... Or Hog. But, you gotta love Maxine. She's dumped Hoyt, probably planted the "evil doll" and has adopted, unknowingly, a shapeshifter that plans to steal her gas rights. Sweet. 

Back at Hotshot, inbred what's his name discovers Jason is missing.. Shit! *Hold that thought*

Over at Marnie's, she is confronted by Jesus, Tara and Lafayette and bullied into finding the reversal curse. For some reason Marnie bugs. She sounds like she spits when she talks and that bugs the fuck out of me... Is anyone else bothered by her accent? 

And back to hot ass wolfie Alcide. How cute is Eric taking a dip in a gator infested pond?  BEST SCENE! And it's sorta of sad. Eric is so happy frolicking in the sun, but Alcide's comment is cracking me up. "You dumb, shit fanger!" I love Alcide. 

Then we see that Tommy has found his trailer... trash mom!! Goddamn it. I was hoping she would not be in this season. His parents have scarred me. The only vision I have of his parents, is the one where his father was wearing his baggy, torn up underwear. Gross! Remember? 

But, we then get to see Sam visits his "booty call" and discover she has a younger daughter. Honestly, I’m hoping for a saner Sam this season. How about a Sam that doesn’t kick the fuck out of anyone, or shoot anyone? Maybe just a love interest? Hmmm.

INSERT PANTHER GROWL. And everybody say "Hallelujah!" The witch is dead... Or in this case, the retarded panther that couldn't hear Jason slipping on a large branch over his head. And then Crystal wants to talk family and something about being a "ghost daddy". Is that like a pimp daddy? What the fuck is that?

And then we flash over to the Bellefleurs and Bill finds out from the lady from "Soap" that they are related. Yes, Portia and Bill are related... And they had sex. 

And then back to Sam and his "booty call" and her daughter, Dora the Explorer. I kid!! But honestly, just when I think that Sam has actually met someone nice, but of course... Her ex-boyfriend is a werewolf. Yes, I see major shit going down by the end of the season.

Back at Marnie's necromancer head shop, the spirit shows them what they have been looking for by dropping a book on to the floor. Oooookaaayy. We’ll see about that curse. 

Over at Alicide's house, Debbie finds out he's been at Sookie's and she appears to be fine with it. Yeah, right!! Till she shows up with a shotgun at Sookie’s! Right? It's totally going to happen!!

Over at Arlene’s, something insidious is brewing. Evil baby has now merged with evil doll!!! (Did you notice that when Terry set the baby down, even the baby looked back at the doll.) "BABY NOT YOURS". OMG, I'm actually freaking out!! What the fuck is going on with this plot point. I’m terrified of evil baby merged with evil doll!! Creepy!!!!

Oh, thank God, we flash over to Sookie’s house and I love Sookie comforting Eric in his bed. This is the Eric, I absolutely adore!! Vulnerable Eric. Delicious, vulnerable, amnesia, Eric. Sookie just fucking kiss him!!! And... someone’s at the door. What a cock-block Bill is! What exactly are Bill's motives? I’m getting really curious. And, it's here that I actually feel bad for Sookie. I love that line that she gives Bill about never lying to him. It’s actually kind of sad, but good to hear her say that because it only makes me reassured that she needs to have hot sex with amnesia Eric. Just do it already!!

And then we find Jason badly hurt by the side of the road, and much to my happiness, is discovered by Hoyt and Jessica. Go Jessie!!! Heal my baby's wiener. 

Oh fuck, we’re back at the trailer trash camp site. And did you have any doubts that things would not work out with Tommy and his mom? I sorta had suspicions that the father was not out of the picture. Oh, Tommy. Back to dog fighting for you unless Sam saves you, but once again. 

Never mind. Back to the witches. I have the urge to sing "I fell into a burning ring of fire...” Pam is being quite pushy and the “fuck” word is flying!! But, I’m shocked that once again, Marnie has, with the help of her spirit, put another curse (or temporary curse) on a vampire. We shall see where all this leads too.

God, there’s so much going on in each episode it’s hard to focus on any major story lines, but I suspect that Eric and Sookie will have a relationship this season. Plus, I heard something about a pink spandex? Could it be? But besides that, I just adore Eric and I can see that slowly, Sookie will too. It’s as Eric said, the "Eric with feelings". Rare for a vampire. Now, how the witches and Bill come into play, is beyond me. I’m still sticking to the thought that Bill set Eric up.
